Hun Reflex Bow
"Even the Chinese emphasised the Hun bow's strength and excellence. The Hun bow is much stronger than the ones used in the West, its carrying capacity and penetrating force is bigger." (Béla Szász)

In the first part of the V. century the number of Huns arriving in Europe was only 20-30.000. The life of these roaming nomads with huge studs was determined by looting. They achieved their exceptional military success by means of dividing their forces into disciplined mobile troops of some hundreds. Their quick horsemen turning up unexpectedly made a huge destruction among the terrified enemy. They reached the peak of their power during the reign of Attila, who was able to hold the tribes together, but with his death (453) the empire fell apart in the Carpathian basin.
